What does it mean for the mind, when lines constitute nothing but themselves? When they don’t form an image or linguistic symbol? I believe it is an opportunity to freely observe a picture and to discover the ever-changing perception of it.

The non-descriptive nature of my drawings consists of rhythm and balance, which makes the linear compositions oscillate between pace and precision, density and transparency. They differ in form, structure, proportion and colour.

Each drawn line is a spontaneous, yet intended gesture, linking into a formation of interweaving and correlating strokes, giving an impression of continuous flow, where all lines seem to endlessly merge and diverge. What at first might appear as a harmonious picture, can upon closer look reveal a vibrant array of layered transparence.
